FileFlip never receives the files you convert. Conversion runs inside your own browser using WebAssembly, so your file stays on your device from start to finish. FileFlip has no upload endpoint and no file storage, which means there is no copy of your document, photo or video for FileFlip to keep, lose, hand over or sell.

This policy covers what FileFlip does collect, which is analytics page views and ordinary web server logs. It applies to fileflip.app and every page on it.

Does FileFlip collect the files I convert?

No. FileFlip never uploads or stores your files. When you choose a file, your browser hands the bytes to the page in local memory. The conversion engine reads them there, writes the converted result there, and your browser saves that result to your downloads folder. No part of that journey involves a network request carrying your data.

You can verify this rather than trusting it. Open your browser's network inspector and convert a file: the only requests you will see are page assets and one conversion engine downloading to you. The how it works page has step-by-step instructions.

What information does FileFlip collect?

FileFlip collects two things, and neither one touches your files.

  • Analytics page views. FileFlip uses Google Analytics to count how many people visit which pages. Google Analytics records the page you viewed, the page that referred you, your browser and device type, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It does not record what file you chose or what format you converted it to.
  • Server request logs. fileflip.app is hosted on Vercel and served through Cloudflare, and both keep standard request logs containing IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp. These logs exist to serve pages and to stop abuse, and they expire on those providers' own schedules.

FileFlip has no accounts, so it never asks for your name, email address, date of birth, postal address or payment details. Nothing is sold and there is no paid tier, so there is no billing information anywhere.

Does FileFlip use cookies?

Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to tell repeat visits apart. FileFlip sets no cookies of its own, and no cookie is needed to convert a file. Blocking cookies for fileflip.app, or blocking analytics with a browser extension, has no effect on the converter. Google publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics everywhere.

Does FileFlip show ads?

No. FileFlip runs no advertising and no advertising trackers. Because your device does the conversion work, FileFlip does not carry the server costs that push other converters into selling ad space or subscriptions.

Does FileFlip sell or share my information?

No. FileFlip sells nothing to anyone. The only third parties that receive anything are the services named above: Google, for analytics page views, and Vercel and Cloudflare, for hosting and delivery. FileFlip would disclose information if legally compelled, and the honest note there is that the interesting data does not exist. There is no file to hand over.

What rights do I have over my data?

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information held about you, and to object to its processing. Email [email protected] and it will be handled. In practice the response to most such requests is that FileFlip holds no personal information about you beyond an analytics page view and a server log line, both keyed to an IP address rather than to you.

Is FileFlip suitable for children?

FileFlip is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them. Since FileFlip has no accounts and collects no personal details, a child using the converter provides nothing beyond the analytics page view described above.

Where is my data processed?

Your files are processed on your own device, in your own country, wherever that is. The analytics page views and server logs described above are processed by Google, Vercel and Cloudflare on infrastructure that may sit in the United States or elsewhere.

Will this policy change?

This policy will be updated if what FileFlip collects changes, and the date at the bottom of the page will change with it. The promise that your files are never transmitted is not a policy choice that could quietly be reversed. It is how the software is built, and you can check it in your browser's network inspector on any day you like.
