What is a KDC file?#
A KDC file holds raw sensor data from a Kodak camera, though the extension covers two unrelated file structures: an older TIFF-based format used on 1990s DC-series models like the DC40, DC50 and DC120, and a separate format Kodak reused on later EasyShare P-series and Z-series cameras.
KDC only matters when opening images pulled from an old Kodak DC-series or EasyShare P/Z-series camera; there is no reason to create one today.
Convert KDC to DNG or TIFF for long-term storage, since Kodak's cameras are discontinued and support for the older of the two KDC variants is thin in current software.
